The mission of The Wrecking Crew is to help frontline leaders create the space that allows their teams to thrive.

Chris Thierfelder is a veteran corporate leader, founder, speaker, podcast host, and talent developer.

He has decades of experience in product development and management in the technology space, but his main passion is helping frontline and middle managers thrive.

He discovered the hard way that there are precious few resources for new leaders to help them with the skills that matter most, and far too many organizations ignore development of this critical talent pool entirely.

Chris believes that the only way that organizations succeed is by creating the space for individuals and teams to thrive. And the people most directly responsible for this—the ones who actually do the work to create, drive, and protect these environments—are the leaders in the middle of the org. Team leaders, managers, directors—the maligned “middle-managers” are, if companies allow them, the keys to sustainable success.

He created The Wrecking Crew specifically to help develop this group of critical leaders. Like the innovative musicians that inspired him, The Wrecking Crew enables talent by breaking down old rules of leadership.

Chris lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife, Sarah, and their dog, Max.
